As this storm starts to shape up and the components form, we are getting our first looks on how the storm will act. We have some heavier than expected snow showers moving through the area. These are more widespread and are arriving earlier than thought. This could hint at a more widespread storm than we initially thought. Models are hinting at this with the outer reaches of the storm spreading further west.
NEW OUTLOOK AS OF 8 AM
I expect showers to pass through until 12 -1 PM or so when a steadier snow will form and continue till 7 PM or so. After this the larger storm will have formed and will take over, we could see the outer reaches of its bands, bringing another inch or two before morning when it ends.
Areas west of the bay within 30-50 miles could see up to three inches of snow. The atmosphere is more saturated and instable, and I feel we could see more snow over the course of today and tonight.
