Saturday Snow and Wind

Writer's picture: inglisbriinglisbri

The storm will begin warm and with rain until a shift colder and windier by 8 am - 10 am when a changeover to snow will occur. The heaviest of snow will occur from changeover to noon. Temperatures will drop below freezing during this time, winds will be gusty, and snow rates could be high. Snow becomes lighter and ends in the afternoon. Winds will persist until the following morning along with temps in the teens. Anything and everything wet will be frozen.

I expect 2 - 4 inches of snow on the ground. Possibly up to an inch on the roads depending on when the switchover occurs and how windy it is. The cold and wind will help dry and cool the roads after the rain and during the snow priming it for snow accumulations. Conditions can get bad fast. Low visibility and quick accumulations.
